Ero is short form of Eros (エロス).
This word appeared late in Japan. It seemed エロスcould only be read in academic writings. People have invented a hybrid adjective Eroi (エロい), denoting erotic. Ir became popular among civil.
Thus エロ can be noun and adjective.
If atheists are so positive that there is no God, where is their proof that He does not exist?
